Overall Opinion:
Overall, Rock Your Hair Dry Shampoo is one of the worst dry shampoos I’ve ever tried.
I gave it 1 out of 5 stars, but I definitely would never buy this product again.
The website says this product will leave my hair with a clean texture all while adding volume which was exactly what i was looking for. However, I did not receive any of those results.
Applying this product is extremely easy. I especially love dry shampoos that come in aerosol form. That is the only positive aspect of this product.
The smell was really the worst part. The scent lingered in my bathroom for at least 20 minutes after spraying it in my hair.
About 30 minutes after application, I was left with a pounding headache due to the overpowering fragrance.
I was actually embarrassed of the scent that lingered in my hair while I ran errands all day.
For $18.00, I believe there are plenty of other dry shampoos I would much rather buy.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Rock Your Hair Dry Shampoo is in the form of an aerosol spray with an overly wet texture.
After application, my hair was left with virtually no oil absorption.
Application/Ease of Use
The simple application might be the only positive attribute of this dry shampoo. It’s extremely easy to spray in the exact places desired.
However, the bottle is large and bulky making it really difficult if you plan on taking it with you for “on the go” use.
Drying Time
I’ve never used a dry shampoo that leaves a slightly wet consistency for a few minutes after applying.
I’m definitely not a fan of the wet texture it initially leaves in your hair. I almost feel like it defeats the whole purpose of using a dry shampoo.
Smell (Initially)
The smell is the worst part about this product.
The initial scent is extremely overpowering. It reminds me of an overbearing perfume.
I definitely want my dry shampoo to have a slight fragrance to cover up any detection of dirty hair. However, the scent of Rock Your Hair is awful and filled up my whole bathroom.
Smell (Over Time)
Not only does the smell of Rock Your Hair Dry Shampoo not go away, but it actually got worse as the day progressed.
20 minutes after spraying this product in my hair, I actually developed a headache from the scent.
The typical aerosol smell grows exceedingly more evident over time.
The Results
The overall results I received from Rock Your Hair Dry Shampoo were extremely minimal and mostly negative.
Due to the initial wet texture, it left my hair looking lifeless and less voluminous than before.
The smell alone was enough to never invest in this product again.
I wished it had at least absorbed some of the excess oil in my hair but I can’t even say that much about it.
How Long It Lasts
The minimal results I did receive from this product lasted about half a day.
The scent stayed in my hair until I washed it.
I had to wash my hair the next day, so it didn’t buy me any extra time.
Price
Rock Your Hair Dry Shampoo costs $18.00 per bottle.
That works out to $2.99, which isn’t too bad as far as dry shampoos go.
Unfortunately, any price is too much if you don’t get the results you want!
Guarantee
This dry shampoo doesn’t come with a guarantee unfortunately.
