Overall Opinion:
Pantene Dry Shampoo helped to absorb some of my oil for cleaner hair, but I think it would be best used on days that my hair is only slightly oily.
The product didn’t quite absorb all of my oil and didn’t do much to add volume or texture.
When I first applied the Pantene Dry Shampoo into my hair, it felt like a hair spray in that it was wet and clear looking.
After the powder dried, it was very light and just slightly pigmented. It didn’t get too cakey in my hair which I liked.
My least favorite part is the smell because it stayed in my hair all day and smelled very strong like alcohol.
Another down side to this dry shampoo is it does not last very long at all. It started fading about half way through my day and was totally gone by the end. This is unfortunate because I don’t like to add more product throughout the day because it ends up making my hair feel gross.
Overall, Pantene Dry Shampoo didn’t do the best job at keeping my hair clean and styled all day long.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Pantene Dry Shampoo looks and feels like a hair spray when it’s first applied to the hair.
Once it dries down, it is very lightly pigmented and feels finely milled.
When I applied it to my hair, I didn’t really like the way it felt because it felt sticky like a hair spray.
Application/Ease of Use
Pantene Dry Shampoo was pretty easy to apply with the aerosol can. It sprayed evenly throughout the hair.
Once the product dried down it was easy to use, you just spread it throughout the hair and brush the product through.
The product didn’t cake up in my hair once it was brushed through.
Drying Time
The dry shampoo took about 20 seconds to dry in my hair.
Smell (Initially)
I don’t like the smell of the Pantene Dry Shampoo; it smells very strong and somewhat like rubbing alcohol.
Smell (Over Time)
Unfortunately the smell stayed in my hair for the entire day.
The Results
The results I achieved from Pantene Dry Shampoo were not what you expect from a dry shampoo.
Although it did help to absorb some oil, it definitely didn’t make my hair look completely clean again.
I also usually like when a product like this adds volume but unfortunately this one didn’t help with that at all.
How Long It Lasts
This product only lasts about 6-7 hours. I could see the oil coming back about half way through my day. This was disappointing because I don’t like to retouch my dry shampoo throughout the day.
Price
Pantene Dry Shampoo is $6.99 for 4.9 ounces. That comes out to $1.42 per ounce.
This is below average for a dry shampoo.
Guarantee?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a money-back guarantee for Pantene Dry Shampoo.
