Overall Opinion:
Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray is a disappointing dry shampoo.
This product applied more like a hair spray than a dry shampoo; it applies very wet and takes a long time to dry.
Once the product dried, it was very sticky in my hair and was kind of inflexible. It didn’t want to move and blend into my hair.
Once I finally got it blended, it did absorb my oil, but the oil absorption only lasted about 3 hours until my oil started to break through.
Another thing I really didn’t enjoy about this dry shampoo was the smell; it smelled very strongly of lemony chemicals.
Not only was the smell bad, but it got worse and stronger over time.
This product also added virtually no volume or texture in my hair; the only texture it added was crispyness and dryness.
Overall, Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray was less than impressive, and I wouldn’t recommend it as a dry shampoo.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
The look of this dry shampoo when it is first applied is very much like a hair spray.
It feels very sticky and wet when it is first applied and it kind of sits on top of the hair.
From the first look of the product, I didn’t like the way it looked or felt.
Application/Ease of Use
The application of the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray is very easy to apply. The aerosol application makes it easy to apply the product evenly into your hair.
The use of the product is a little bit more difficult since it applies sticky and wet. I felt like I had to wait a long time for it to dry.
Once the product dried, it didn’t feel too sticky anymore and it was easier to use, but it still wasn’t the easiest product to use.
Drying Time
This formula takes a long time to dry. It took about 45 seconds or longer to dry.
Smell (Initially)
The smell of the Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray smells very bad. It has a strong chemical and lemony smell that gets stronger and more lemony over time.
Smell (Over Time)
The smell of this dry shampoo gets stronger over time. I didn’t realize this was even possible, but the smell not only gets stronger but also a lot worse.
The Results
The results I achieved from this dry shampoo were less than impressive.
The dry shampoo absorbed my oil but didn’t do much more than that.
It didn’t add any texture or volume and made my hair feel kind of crispy and gross. It also made my hair feel dry and look dry, and not in an oil absorbing way.
How Long It Lasts
Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray doesn’t last nearly as long as you need it to.
Despite all of the downsides of this product, I was happy that it absorbed my oil.
But, after about 3 hours, it had somehow disappeared from my hair and all the oil had started to come back.
Price
Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo Invisible Spray is $11.00 for 1.4 oz, which comes out to $7.85 per oz.
That is definitely a pricey dry shampoo.
