Overall Opinion:
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is a great dry shampoo to reach for when going to an event or a special occasion.
This dry shampoo will keep your unwanted oil at bay while adding tons of texture and volume for a desired hair style.
When I first applied it to my hair, it was thick and colorless and reminded me a bit of hair spray. As it dried down, it dried completely matte and seemed to add fibers to my hair to give it a beach voluminous look.
Although this dry shampoo does absorb oil, I wouldn’t suggest it for your oiliest day. I would suggest this dry shampoo for light oil or for preventative protection against oil for all day wear.
This dry shampoo is really easy to apply and really easy to use. By just fluffing the product with your fingertips, it looks perfect.
The biggest bonus to this product is the way it styles your hair. The smell is great too!
Overall, Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray is a great dry shampoo that will give your hair a lot of texture and volume without having to do much.
Detailed Opinion:
Look and Feel
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray feels a bit wet and sticky when it is first sprayed onto the hair. It looks almost like nothing; the closest thing I can compare it to is hair spray.
The spray dries down to a powder that is totally colorless. You can’t visually tell you’ve sprayed something into your hair at all.
As it dries, the product feels very thick in your hair. It almost feels like it’s adding fibers to the individual strands.
Application/Ease of Use
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray applies very easily. The product comes out fast and you don’t need a lot, so you do have to make sure not to over-apply.
This dry shampoo is extremely easy to use. Once it is applied into your hair, all you really need to do it run your fingers through it and fluff up your hair and you’re good to go.
The only difficult thing about the use is that it does give your hair a rough texture so you want to be careful when brushing through your hair.
Drying Time
Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray dries in about 15 seconds.
Smell (Initially)
The smell of this dry shampoo is very pleasant. It smells clean and fresh and isn’t overpowering.
Smell (Over Time)
The smell does linger in your hair, but again, it’s nice it’s not too much.
The Results
The results I achieved from Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray were great, especially with styling my hair.
This product did a great job absorbing oil, although that’s not its main function.
It added a ton of volume and texture and gave my hair the undone look everyone is after. I liked it a lot!
How Long It Lasts
This product might be the longest lasting product I’ve tried. It lasted absolutely all day.
The only downside is since it gives your hair so much texture, it also makes it feel kind of gritty which made me feel like I needed to wash it the next day.
Price
Oribe Dry Texturing Spray is 8.5 oz for $44.00, which comes out to $5.18 per oz.
That’s definitely a little pricey!
