Overall Opinion:

Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo is a good dry shampoo but there were a few things about it that I didn’t like.

This dry shampoo is very easy to apply and it feels very light on the hair which I liked a lot.

Once it was applied, it had a very bright white cast and the pigmentation really clung to my hair. When I went to blend it into my hair, the pigment stuck to my scalp making the white cast visible.

Something I noticed about the product is that the formula, although light, is very drying and it left my hair feeling kind of crispy.

The smell of this dry shampoo is one of my favorites; it’s very tropical smelling and lasts all day in the hair.

This product did give me a bit of texture and it lasted about 8-9 hours in my hair before it needed to be reapplied. That is decent but I wish it would have lasted all day.

Overall, Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo is a good dry shampoo but not great because of the pigmentation and hours it lasts in the hair.

Detailed Opinion:

Look and Feel

Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo feels very thin and light when it is first applied to the hair.

Even though the powder is very light on the hair, it has a very bright white pigment to it.

And despite the thin and light consistency, the powder did have a little bit of grittiness that lended to adding texture to the hair.

Application/Ease of Use

Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo is very easy to apply. The powder applies in a very controlled amount so you can make sure not to apply too much to your hair.

Since the dry shampoo is so pigmented, you don’t need a lot of product to absorb the oil in the hair since it is highly pigmented and a very dry shampoo.

Once the product was in my hair, it was easy to blend. But the one thing I didn’t enjoy about the product was that the pigment was clinging to my scalp.

Drying Time

The Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo took about 5 seconds to dry.

Smell (Initially)

The smell of the Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo smells amazing… like a very tropical pina colada.

Smell (Over Time)

The smell stays in your hair throughout the entire day, which I really liked.

The Results

The results I achieved from Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo were good but not great.

The powder absorbed the oil in my hair very well and added a bit of texture but not as much as I wanted.

The biggest downfall of this product was how dry it made my hair feel and how the white pigment never fully went away.

How Long It Lasts

Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo lasts about 8-9 hours in the hair before it needs to be reapplied.

That is a decent amount of time to last, although I wish it would have lasted the whole day.

The worst part about having to reapply was it made the white cast in the hair even worse than before.

Price

Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo is $12.00 for 5 oz. That comes out to $4.40 per oz.

This price is above average for a dry shampoo, but still not too pricey.
